COLUMBUS—Columbus Metropolitan Library’s (CML) 150th birthday celebrations continue with a special art exhibit. Columbus Metropolitan Library at 150 is on view through Sept. 16 in Main Library’s second floor Carnegie Gallery.

The Friends of the Library invited 24 Columbus-based artists to create works commemorating CML’s 150th birthday by showcasing public libraries and their community impact.

An opening reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 24.

CML was founded on March 4, 1873 as a single reading room in the original Columbus City Hall. Its sesquicentennial celebrations continue throughout the remainder of 2023 with a variety of programs and partnerships. Click here to learn more.
