COLUMBUS—Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) is announcing the featured authors for this summer’s Columbus Book Festival, including its four headliners:

  • Amal El-Mohtar, author of The River Has Roots
  • Gregg Hurwitz, author of Nemesis
  • Anna Todd, author of The Last Sunrise
  • Victoria Christopher Murray, author of Harlem Rhapsody

The free two-day festival will take place in downtown Columbus at Main Library and Topiary Park on July 12-13. CML first held the festival in 2023 to commemorate the organization’s 150th birthday.

In addition to the four headliners, the festival will feature more than 120 national and local authors from a variety of genres who will participate in panel discussions and sign books sold through the Official Festival Bookstore. The Book Loft, Cover to Cover, Gramercy Books, and Prologue Bookshop will manage the book sales.

Out in Topiary Park, more than 100 independent creators, small press writers and self-published authors will exhibit under the Indie Author Alley tent. Visitors will also find new and used books for sale, retail and nonprofit exhibitors featuring all things literary, and food and drinks. New this year: alcohol sales, including beer and seltzer, and an expanded food court featuring even more local food trucks.

Visit columbusbookfestival.org to learn more.

Note: Headshots of authors and book covers are available upon request.
